Complete End of Tenancy Cleaning Checklist

A room-by-room checklist covering everything usually expected at the end of a tenancy, from kitchen appliances to skirting boards.

Why an end of tenancy clean matters

When a tenancy ends, the property is normally expected to be returned in the condition it was let, allowing for fair wear and tear. A structured clean makes the handover straightforward.

Kitchen

Clean inside and outside all cupboards and drawers, degrease the hob and extractor, clean the oven, defrost and wipe the fridge and freezer, descale the sink and taps, and finish worktops.

Bathrooms

Descale showers, screens, taps and tiling, clean the toilet thoroughly, polish mirrors and glass, and wipe extractor covers and skirting.

Throughout the property

Skirting boards, radiators, light fittings, banisters and door handles are often missed and noticed.
